Description
In this class students will paint an adorable Owl on a snowy windowsill. The first part of the class will be done in acrylics. After a brief lunch break we will return to finish the owl with oils. To complete the painting, we will add a snowy windowsill and lighting for a special effect. Each student will be able to embellish their painting with their own unique special touches. Lots of samples, step-by-step instructions and assistance will be provided by the instructor.
All supplies will be included: 10X10 wooden board with a hanger, paints, brushes, and samples will be provided and a hanger on the back of the surface. Twinkle lights will also be provided. This is an adorable holiday addition to brighten anyone’s home or make as a beautiful gift for someone special.
Janet Hockman has taught many classes at the RHHT Heritage Arts Center, as well as in Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri and Alabama. She believes that art should evoke a memory and help us express our feelings. Working in a variety of mediums helps her and her students do just that. Although she loves making her own art, her true passion has been teaching others to ‘tell their story’ while helping them find their own talent and abilities.
